Stone china plate, transfer-printed underglaze in blue and enamelled in polychrome, with a bird and tree surrounded by a border and floral sprays.
Plate. Stone china, transfer-printed underglaze in blue and enamelled in puce, iron-red, yellow, green, orange, turquoise and brown. Circular with lightly shaped edge, sloping rim and shallow well. Decorated in the middle with an exotic bird perching in a flowering tree, surrounded by a narrow scalloped border. On the rim there are three floral sprays and the words TRIN.COLL., and on the edge, a narrow border and a brown line. Printed on the reverse in blue 'KITCHEN DEPT/TRINITY COLLEGE/CAMBRIDGE'.
