Description

Earthenware coated in a cream slip and painted in three colours under a clear glaze

Pinkish earthenware, wheel thrown, coated on the interior in a cream slip painted in brown, green and orange and covered with a clear glaze.
Shape: conical bowl descending via an indentation onto a disc base
Interior: brown triangles or dots hang from the rim. On the body groups of stylised flowers in orange and brown alternate with green Arabic inscriptions outlined in brown. An orange dot is painted on the base.
Exterior: cream slip and glaze continues onto the exterior rim. Remainder is undecorated.
