Fritware painted in black under a blue glaze
Off white and powdery fritware, probably wheel thrown, and painted in black under a blue crazed, lightly pitted glaze.
Shape: everted rim and straight, short neck descending, via a ridge, onto an inverted pair shaped body sitting on a low foot ring.
Exterior: on the neck a "kufesque" band is reserved in black. On the upper body, above the ridge, a pattern of angular lines is also reserved in black. On the central body, zigzag lines are painted in black forming concentric rings that accentuate the vessel shape. Blue glaze covers the surface and runs unevenly over the surface of the foot ring.
Interior: covered with a thinner coating of blue glaze
