Fritware coated in a white slip and painted in black, blue, green and purple under a clear glaze.
Shape: segmental bowl with a flat rim and beaded edge, sitting on a narrow, low foot ring.
Interior: all decoration is outlined in black. Painted on the rim, between two black concentric lines, a blue flower and green leaf pattern interspersed with black tendrils. On the body, three stylised hyacinth stems, with blue flowers, are reserved in white against a background of black fish scales coloured with green. Within these scales a medallion containing purple flowers is reserved in white. Glaze covers the surface unevenly and is very thin in places
Exterior: on the rim and lower body, a bracketed line is enclosed within two concentric lines; these contain a frieze of black scrolling tendrils, purple buds and blue rosettes. Glaze runs over the lower body unevenly and onto the foot ring, spots of glaze on the underside.
