Description

White stoneware coated with blue slip, and salt-glazed. The bulbous teapot has a crabstock handle and spout, and a shallow circular cover with a depressed globular knob pierced by a ventilation hole.

Notes

History note: Mr Jolley, antique dealer, Cambridge, from whom, purchased on 19 July 1917 for £4 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge.
