Giant Teapot
Factory: Mason, Cash & Co. (Perhaps)
Buff earthenware decorated with applied white reliefs coloured pink, blue, and green under clear glaze, reserved in a dark brown glazed ground. . The reliefs comprise four perching birds, bunches of flowers and foliage, and small whirls or flower heads. On one side, an applied curved plaque is impressed with 'A PRESENT FROM .J.SAY/TO MRS BARNES/1882'
History note: J.J. Newman, Newbrass Road, London, SE from whom purchased by Dr Glaisher on 1 June 1912 for 8s. 6d.
