Stag
Production: Unidentified Staffordshire Pottery
Dark brown and white agateware, press-moulded, painted with blue and salt-glazed. The stag is seated on an oval base which is hollow underneath. It short tail is raised and its head turned towards the viewer. The antlers are lightly painted on the front in blue, and there are pale blue splashes on the top of its back and the side nearest to the viewer.
