Description

Press-moulded white stoneware with manganese-brown slip eyes and nipples, and salt-glaze. The woman stands facing towards the viewer, supported on a circular base with lozenge motifs impressed into its sides. She is nude apart from a ribbed headdress, and a very brief skirt around her hips, and holds a fruit close to her body in her right hand. The lower part of her legs and feet are concealed by a tree-like support rising from the front of the base.
