Fritware, coated in black slip, carved under a turquoise glaze
Fritware, moulded, coated in black slip, carved under a transparent turquoise glaze.
Shape: ribbed, carinated octagonal bowl with out-turned rim, sits on a slightly flared foot ring.
Exterior: coated in a black slip, carved to form an inscription around the neck and horizontal and vertical lines to form panels on the body. Glaze runs over the surface and pools around the foot ring where droplets have been broken off.
Interior: undecorated except for glaze that pools in the base.
