Description

Yellow-glazed earthenware with lustred decoration

Yellow-glazed earthenware decorated with silver (platinum) lustre. Cylindrical with recessed base and loop handle. Decorated on the side with a resist pattern comprising nine vertical sprays of paired leaves, alternating with rows of spots beween wide horizontal bands of lustre. There is a wide reserved yellow band round the lower edge of the mug, and a reserved stroke down the back of the handle. The interior, base, and inside of th handle are not lustred.
