Soft-paste porcelain, decorated with applied flowers and leaves, and painted overglaze in polychrome enamels with floral sprays and sprigs
Soft-paste porcelain, moulded, and decorated with applied flowers and leaves, painting overglaze in blue, yellowish-green, greyish-green, yellow, puce, and red enamels, and gilt (now almost entirely worn away). The circular dish has curved sides with four large and four small lobes round the edge and a border of raised scrolls and foliage. It rises up in the centre to support the inner end of the handle and the nozzle in the form of a bell-shaped flower with a calyx of pointed leaves. The handle is in the form of a branch which curves upwards and downwards to rest on the dish. At its hightest point it has a horizontal flower-shaped thumbpiece. On the dish around the junction with the nozzle there are three blue flowers each with a pair of leaves, and another leaf lies further out beside the lower end of the handle. The dish is painted with three large sprays of mixed flowers and the nozzle with three smaller sprays of flowers of tone type. The outer edge has remnants of gilding
