Stoneware, cast and abraded
Stoneware, cast. Six-lobed circle in plan, formed by six adjacent cylinders with closed rounded ends at top and bottom. A hole for the emission of air during firing is pierced on the inside near the top of one cylinder. The exterior surfaces are covered with a dark cream slip/glaze which has been worn away to reveal a greyish-black surface beneath in a patchy and irregular way. The object can stand upright or sideways.
