Description

Maiolica pharmacy jar, painted in blue, green, yellow, and orange with four striped oval motifs, separated by beads, tendrils, and buds.

Earthenware, tin-glazed overall but thinly on the interior where the fabric shows through it and there are some unglazed areas. Painted in dark blue with a little green, yellow, and brownish-orange. Slender waisted albarello.
On the side are four striped oval motifs separated by beads coloured yellow, brownish-orange, and green. Above and below the beads are tendrils and buds. The lower part is encircled by four horizontal bands of different widths, and the shoulder by a row of spots with one narrow and one wide horizontal band above and below.
