Earthenware, tin-glazed on both sides; base unglazed. Painted in dark blue and orange-yellow.
Shape 45. Hemi-sperical with two loop handles, standing on a narrow foot.
In the middle, within a blue circle, is a fan-shaped flower with an orange-yellow stamen, and a tendril on each side of its stalk. The sides are decorated with concentric circles: wide blue, two narrow blue, one wide orange-yellow, two narrow blue and one wide blue. On the exterior of the rim, there are eight half-palmettes.

The colouring of this bowl is brighter than the other bowls of this type in the museum's collection. There is no evidence that it was found in Orvieto or elsewhere in Umbria, and may therefore have been made in another area, such as Emilia-Romagna .
