Tee Total
Factory: Unidentified Staffordshire factory
White lead-glazed earthenware painted in enamels.
White earthenware, moulded in separate parts, assembled, lead-glazed, and painted in enamels. The figures are supported on a rectangular four-footed base with an almond shaped panel on the front bearing the words 'TEE/TOTAL'. A man and a woman with a baby on her lap are seated respectively on the viewer's right and left sides of a low table, on which is a teapot, two cups, a saucer, a bowl with a spoon in it, and a pile of muffins on a plate. The man holds his right hand to his forehead.
History note: Captain Reynolds collection; sold to Messrs Gill & Reigate; sold to Mr Stoner (probably George) from whom purchased in 1910 by Dr J.W.L. Glaisher, FRS, Trinity College, Cambridge
