Mineral Water Bottle
Production: Unidentified Westerwald pottery (Probably)
Grey salt-glazed stoneware painted in blue with a P on the shoulder and a broad band round the neck
Grey stoneware, thrown ovoid body with concave base thumbed around its edge, and an applied broad strap handle with four small holes on its outer face, and a finger impression on its lower junction with the body, painted in blue, and salt-glazed. A large P is painted in blue on the shoulder, and a broad horizontal band encircles the neck and runs over the top of the handle. The salt-glaze has an obvious 'orange peel' appearance.
