Description

Tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue and dark manganese-purple. The gourd-shaped vase is decorated on the lower part with a continuous landscape with two groups of buildings, on the upper part with alternately straight and wavy stripes, and the areas above, between and below these with horizontal bands of the two colours.

Buff earthenware, thrown, tin-glazed and painted in blue and dark manganese-purple. The vase is gourd-shaped with a short, narrow neck, and flaring mouth. The lower part is painted with a continuous landscape with two groups of buildings painted in blue with manganese-purple outlines. Below, there are two narrow manganese-purple bands and two wide blue bands. The area above the landscape is encircled by a broad blue band flanked by pairs of narrow manganese-purple bands. The upper part is decorated with alternately straight and wavy vertical stripes, and round the neck there are two narrow manganese-purple bands and two broad blue bands.
