Description

Cream-coloured earthenware, moulded, and lead-glazed

Cream-coloured earthenware, moulded, and covered with yellowish lead-glaze. The stem is in the form of a standing man wearing a loosely draped robe, holding a spaniel (or lamb?) under his left arm, and in his right supporting an upright branch which supports the drip pan, and candle socket which is decorated with leaves. The base is square with sloping sides decorated in relief with gadrooning.
