Tin-glazed earthenware painted in polychrome with floral sprays; marked on the base with i over a wheel over AL all in black
Pale brown earthenware, thickly tin-glazed overall and painted in blue, green, yellow, pale purple, dark purple, and black enamels. The plate is of 'silver'shape' with a shaped rim, concave, sloping rim, and curved well, standing on a footring. The front is decorated in the well with one large floral spray comprising a carnation and three other types of flower, and two smaller sprigs, one with a yellow flower and the other with three blue. On the rim there are three sprigs, one a pansy, one with three yellow flowers and the other with a bluye flower and two buds. The edge is encircled by a dark purple line. A pair with EC.35B-1945.
