Red earthenware pear shaped jug, with the edges of the base thumb pressed. Thrown, with painted slip decoration, partially covered with yellow lead glaze. Loop handle.
History note: Found at Moyes Farm, Barton Road, Cambridge, c.1900; given to Dr Robinson, Master of St Catharine's College, Cambridge; given to Professor T. McKenny Hughes, c.1908; given to Dr J.W.L Glaisher in 1917.
