Pottery: Unknown
Orange-brown calcareous earthenware with dark grey core, three groups of horizontal turned bands, thumbed, slightly sagging base, and thin remnants of olive-green lead-glaze on the upper part. The handle has thumb prints on either side of the top and on its lower end.
History note: Found in a well in Scotts Yard, Whittlesford, Cambridgeshire
