Verge watch with 'wandering hour dial' in filigree. Gold case.
MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'Baltazar Martinot A Paris'. Balance cock with oval table and foot, both pierced and engraved. Steel balance. Silver set-up dial with radial Arabic figures 1 to 8, over brass worm wheel. Steel worm with blued steel brackets having large pierced feet. Worm guard and pointer missing. Rectangular fusee iron post, fusee iron spring fixed by projection through top plate. Case bolt with flat decorative foot on brass edge, with nib through dial. Triangular potance with engraved side, riveted to plate, end of rivet engraved. Counter-potance with foot screwed to under-side of top plate at edge. Engraving around rectangular escapement hole. Pillar plate with four turned baluster pillars. Under dial brass pin to turn hour disks

BRASS EDGE: Four pillars spacing edge from plate, centre removed for hour dial. The dial side has an engraved border. Riveted joint.

DIAL: White enamel on gold, four feet. Semi-circular slot in top half, outside slot radial 5 min. figures, 00 to 60 ladder minute arc. Inside slot radial Roman quarters 00 to III. Centre and lower half polychrome enamel, counter enamel. Wandering hour disc; gilt brass with two rectangular hour apertures, with an engraved strip of country scene and buildings, between the apertures. Two silver discs pivoted behind apertures engraved with Roman hours (I, III, V...). Enamel depiction of a classical painting, possible the 'Return of Ulysses'.

INNER CASE: Gold, plain with winding hole, and scratched on the outside '294 53 (reversed) O/-/-'. Bezel split. Turned ball pendent, with plain ring bow.

OUTER CASE (A): Gold, fine filigree.
