Teabowl and saucer. Hard-paste porcelain, fluted, painted in iron-red, turquoise, yellow, aubergine, blue and black with two tones of green with phoenix, flowering trees and birds.
Teabowl and saucer. Hard-paste porcelain painted in an enamel palette of iron-red, turquoise, yellow, aubergine, blue and black with two tones of green. It has fluted sides and a scalloped rim to resemble a chrysanthemum flower. The saucer has a central medallion enclosing a phoenix perched on rockwork among peony sprays, this is encircled round the sides by six radiating panels of various birds and waterfowl among flowering plants. The teabowl is similarly decorated with matching six panels round the exterior and a central peony spray within a narrow peony band round the interior of the rim.
