Description

Saucer. Hard-paste porcelain painted in black, aubergine, turquoise, white, yellow and two green enamels with flowering trees and rocks.

Saucer. Hard-paste porcelain painted in black, aubergine, turquoise, white, yellow and two green enamels. The shallow flared sides, with a lipped rim, are resting on a low tapered foot. The interior is boldly painted with a flowering white magnolia tree and sparays of olive-green and aubergine tree peony, all with trunks in aubergine and stems and leaves in bright green, growing behind a pierced rock in two tones of green stippled; all reserved against a lustrous black ground. The underside is decorated with three floral sprays in yellow, green and black on a pale turquoise-green ground. The base is white.
