Description

Outside covered with linen, polychrome silk embroidery in rococo, tent, back, and couching stitches. Depicting the Five Senses: on the top Smell, on the doors Hearing and Sight, on the sides Touch and Taste. On the back Orpheus with his lyre.
Inside covered with white silk, polychrome silk embroidery in satin, dot and couching stitches with some silk covered wire. Depicting the Elements: on the doors Fire and Air, on the lid Water and Earth. Further pastoral and hunting pictorial scenes inside front, Father Time with hour glass and scythe on central panel between drawers
