(type notes) Note that the reverse is a type of William I (North 842). North p. 181 n. 347: 'The obverse die was also used with a "Pyramids" reverse of Godwine at Shrewsbury. The reverse of N 834 is irregular and reads GODESBRANDONS, and a blundered example of this coin in York Museum is considered a contemporary forgery. An irregular coin of William I Type 8 also has a barbarous reverse reading GODESBRANDONSI and a crude overse die also used at "Devitun" (see n. 372).'
