Maiolica pharmacy jar, painted in blue and purple, with `U Defensiuu' inscribed around the middle.
Earthenware, tin-glazed overall. Painted in blue and manganese-purple.
Cylindrical with a convex projection above and below the main field, a very short neck with slightly everted rim, and low, moulded foot, concave underneath.
The name of the contents `U Defensiuu' is inscribed round the middle in dark manganese-purple gothic letters. Above and below there are blue mock gadroons between pairs of horizontal bands. Two blue bands encircle the top of the foot.
