Fish Table Ornament
Factory: Philippe Mombaers Factory (Probably)
Earthenware, moulded, tin-glazed overall. Painted in blue, green, yellow, and black. In the shape of a swimming fish, perhaps a salmon, resting on an oval footring. The fish and foot have a yellow ground decorated naturalistically in the other colours.

The fish was included among the Italian maiolica by Rackham (1935), but two closely comparable fish in the Municipal Museum, Grand Place, Brussels are attributed to Philippe Mombaers (d. 1754). See also documentation Het Prinsenhof, Delft, 1960
