A study for the 'Beasts' - symbols of the Evangelists - which Piper planned initially to decorate the doors of the chapel in Robinson College, Cambridge [see PD.37-2002]. The 'Beasts' were eventually incorporated into the stained glass in the small side chapel, from left to right, top to bottom, St Matthew , St John St Luke and St Mark. The window was completed on 3 September 1980.
