Fragment of dish rim. Buff earthenware, thickly potted, tin-glazed off-white on the front and lead-glazed pale honey on the reverse. Painted in dark blue and orange.
On the side of the well, two blue lines below two orange. On the rim, a border of stylised blue leaf and tendrils, and an orange motif of indeterminate character. On the outer edge, two blue lines and a wide orange line.
History note: Probably found near the Duomo in Orvieto, where purchased by the donor.
