From left to right, top to bottom: study of left hand and forearm with first second fingers spread out together (black chalk only); youthful head full face, looking down (black chalk and brown ink); youthful head, full-face tilted to right looking upwards (brown ink and wash); old man with head leaning on right hand (ink and wash); right hand stretched out, holding drapery (red chalk); youthful head in left profile looking down (black chalk and brown ink); faint drawing of clenched right hand (black chalk).
