From left to right, top to bottom: bearded head in left profile, head tilted slightly upwards (graphite with white highlights); frontal view of bearded head, slightly from above, eyes downcast (graphite with white highlights); profile to left of bearded head, tilted slightly downwards, eyes downcast (graphite with white highlights). There is a ruled black chalk line, surrounding all sketches apart from the extreme right details of collar and hair of third sketch.
