Production date: circa AD 1872
Verso: upper left: probably an early study of the 'Rock of Doom' from the Perseus series. In the final painting Perseus has winged sandels rather than a winged horse. Centre: possibly discarded idea for 'Doom Fulfilled' from the Perseus series. Right: not found in the completed paintings of the Perseus series.
