Upper left, study of a mediaeval queen in check robe, leaning slightly forward with arms outstretched. Upper left of centre, kneeling mediaeval queen, hands clasped as in prayer with hanging sleeves behind further pair of clasped hands (marriage subject?). Upper right of centre, study for drapery. Upper centre to upper right, five studies of heads: top left, a lady with hair held by scarf; below, lady with head and neck covered in mid-13th C. fashion; upper centre, bearded old man in turban; below, man in late 15th C. head wear; upper right, man in large floral headwear. From middle left, study of a mediaeval queen kneeling looking upwards with arms outstretched in a similar direction. Study of a bearded king, right hand raised. Study of stars. Study for hunchback, hands clasped. Lower left, study for lower half of clothed arm and hand outstretched. Bottom centre, two studies for robes. Bottom right, two studies for head with plumed hat, one above the other.
