Soft-paste porcelain figure of a seated leopardess with right front paw raised, and tail over its back, standing on an oval base decorated with flowers and leaves, painted in enamels
Soft-paste porcelain figure of a seated leopardess, slip-cast, lead-glazed, and painted in turquoise, green, yellow, red, purple, and black enamels. The unglazed underside has a small circular depression in the centre, and three faint patch marks. The oval base is decorated with five groups of applied flowers and leaves. The leopardess sits in profile to the viewer's right with her head turned to viewer's left, its right front paw raised, its right hind leg extended behind it, and its tail curved over its back. The back, tail and outer sides of its legs are yellow with black curved and circular markings; its head is yellow dotted with tiny purple markings, and it has black eyebrows, nose, and pink lined mouth. The paws are purple. The flowers on the base are yellow and red with green and turquoise leaves. A pair with a leopard C.39B-1992
