Portrait of a painter
Painter: Dandridge, Bartholomew
Method of acquisition: Given (1908) by Murray, Charles Fairfax
The painting may well by a self-portrait, possibly the very one recorded by George Vertue in 1729, when Dendridge was 38, but no self-portraits, painted or engraved, appear to be extant for purposes of comparison.
