The cloth for the blinding is Richelieu which was hand-blocked by Fortuny at Venice, Italy ... Designed, printed, and bound by Lewis and Dorothy Allen, Greenbrae, California"--P. [5]. Title-page engraving by Mallette Dean (appeared in The Splendid Idle Forties) of a branched vine with coloured leaves - the words of the title are spaced between the branches.
