"The foregoing text of Gulliver's Travels is that of the first large paper edition published in 1726. The illustrations and decorations have been designed by Rex Whistler. One hundred and ninety-five copies have been printed by the Oxford University Press on hand-made paper, numbered 1-195, and ten copies, numbered I-X have been printed on Roman vellum. This copy is no. [in ms] 57". Contains 12 hand-colored engraved plates, 5 engraved maps, 9 engraved vignettes including title page vignettes, 1 woodcut diagram. Half bound in green morocco with vellum sides.
