"This edition ... assembles for the first time the original librettos of the fourteen operas. Eugene Ettenberg has designed the volume and has supervised its printing at the Gallery Press in New York. Fifteen hundred copies have been made, of which this is copy number [in ms] J.D."--Colophon Quarter bound in red velvet with gilt stamped floral designs on front and back cover; gilt stamped lettering on oval buckram label mounted on spine. Issued in slipcase (gold paper over card as is the portfolio case containing 27 facsimiles)
