"This edition ... was planned for the members of The Limited Editions Club by Max Caflisch. The text was printed by The Stinehour Press in Lunenburg, Vermont. The illustrations were engraved on wood by Felix Hoffmann and the color print [frontispiece] pulled at the atelier of the Aargauer Tagblatt in Aarau, Switzerland. There are fifteen hundred copies .."--Colophon. Museum has copy no. "J. D." signed by the illustrator. Printed on double pages. Quarter bound in gold-stamped scarlet morocco leather with marbled paper sides. Issued in slipcase
