Note

Seventh state, one of two trial proofs printed by Iain Bain in 1972 from Palmer's plate (owned by David Gould), which had been restored from its cancelled state by Macbeth Raeburn in the 1920s (an edition of c.30 was finally issued c.1990). The plate is wiped cleaner than is the case in P.60-2002
