Rectangular wooden box with hinged cover, veneered with tortoiseshell and ivory on three sides, with silver mounts and lock plate engraved with flowers. The interior lined at a later date with pink silk, quilted over cotton wool.
Label inside lid: 'H. C. Foot Collection at 36 High Street, Oxford'

A piece has broken off the lock plate. Several of the tortoiseshell panels have sprung
