Carved walnut chair with upholstered drop-in seat, cabriole legs and claw and ball feet, the splat decorated with floral marquetry in various woods; one of a set of four, MAR.M.215A-D-1912.
Carved European walnut chair with some sections made from Virginian red walnut, the yoke, back, uprights, splat and seat rails veneered in European walnut. The front and both side raiLs are in beech and the back rail walnut. The chair has cabriole legs and claw and ball feet, the splat decorated with floral marquetry in various woods. The front seat rail is incised XXII and a drop in seat covered in a pink and cream fabric with a woven Florentine pattern (modern) .
