The manuscript volume which includes the "Chansonnier" is in the Bibliothéque municipale, Arras, where it bears the number 139 (formerly 657). The "Chansonnier" (32 p., numbered 129 to 160) has lost several leaves, and the remaining ones are not bound in order. It is assigned to the late 13th or early 14th century and shows a close relationship to Vatican ms. Reg. Reg. 1490. Besides the songs (with music) it includes a section of 32 "jeux partis." cf. Leaves of fascsimile arranged in proper sequence and renumbered (as in collation) by the editor.
