"This edition ... has been set in Giovanni Mardersteig's slightly modified Dante Italic and printed in 310 copies, of which ten on vellum, ad personam, and 300 on handmade Pescia paper, numbered in Roman figures from I to C for sale in Italy, and 1 to 200 for other countries."--Colophon. Museum has number 165. Binding: Quarter green niger morocco; patterned green damask cloth sides (animals, birds and plants); gold fillet and title in gold on spine. In slipcase. Binding stamp: "Sotheran Sackville St. London".
