Plates are aquatints with etching. "Calcografia Negretti" at foot of some. Some have legends which identify the artists as Lanfranco Puzzi or Ant. Lanzani after Carlo d'Arco or Carlo Savazzi. The plates of v. 1 have two blind-embossed stamps at foot of plate mark with the initials A.F.N. and S.A.N., perhaps those of the fratelli Negretti. The plates of v. 2 & 3 have a blind stamp centered above the lower plate mark with the word "MUSEO". Half bound in black cloth, gold stamped with marbled paper sides. Marbled endpages
