Description

Silver; half fluted almost spherical body standing on three scroll legs, with wood handle

Silver; the small body is almost spherical. The lower half is fluted; above this is a narrow band of matting and an applied moulded girdle. The short beak-like spout has a heart-shaped opening. The hinged cover is flat and gadrooned, and has a acorn-shaped finial. The jug stands on three scroll legs with fleur-de lis, scroll and flower capitals. The wooden handle is set at 100 degrees to the body. Opposite the handle is engraved a coat-of-arms.
