Porcelain (?) medicine grater/plaque, with an unglazed back and off white glaze on the front. Rectangular with raised side edges and a projection at the top, pierced by a hole for suspension. The front has seven double rows of teeth.

Pale pink label inscribed in black ink 'Saw toothed medicine plaque excavated from Tsu-lu-Hsien. Porcelain used instead of metal to prevent poison soaking into medicine'.
