Copper, engraved, champlevé, enamelled, and gilded, with applied repoussé silver plaques, the box interior of wood (modern, date uncertain). Rectangular with a lid of truncated pyramidal form. The sides are overlaid with thin D-shaped plates of silver embossed with figures of angels; the spandrels have embossed vine scrolls in gold. Along the top of the lid there is a strip of silver embossed with palmettes, the rest is covered with champlevé enamel.
