Stoneware, hand-formed, with shino glaze. The exterior is unglazed apart from the rim, Its surface is covered with diagonal striations, and there are nine patch marks on the base. the tray is almost square with a flat base, sloping sides, and applied rounded rim, with two ribbed handles applied on opposing sides. The interior is unevenly streaked in reddish-brown and has fifteen, spaced impressions filled with bluish-grey glaze, and four oval bare patches.
